On June 24th major cities of the Peruvian Jungle celebrate the festival of St. John the Baptist with great excitement and multiple cultural, artistic and gastronomic.
Located in one of the best areas of the city of Cusco – the Plaza San Francisco – located just 2 blocks from the Main Square of Cusco. This important square of the city is the only botanical garden within the city and has a wide variety of medicinal, aromatic and ornamental plants, which you can see in a free to stroll through this beautiful square.
Cusco city attracts thousands of tourists from all over the World each year and it is during the month of June, during the dry season in which receives the highest amount, this due to the fact that the city is located holiday throughout the month.
During the month of June and the end of the month of May, the city started their celebrations with important festivals such as the Qoyllur Ritti (May 29th) and the Corpus Christi (May 31st) both celebrations are a mixture of the Andean inherited from the ancestors Incas and Catholicism brought by the Spaniards.
Arrives months of May and June and is time to celebrate the most important festivals in Peru, festivals such as the Inti Raymi or the feast of St. Juan in the Peruvian Jungle are celebrated with great excitement and there are thousands of people who enjoy these festivals.
The city of Cusco has important festivals throughout the year; however, it is during the months of May and June is when is the most spectacular and attract thousands of national and foreign tourists.
