Christmas is one of the biggest festivities celebrated all over the world, and the city of Cusco is not left behind since it has its own traditions that make it a unique and unmatchable party. On December 24th, the city’s Plaza de Armas is crowded with hundreds of artisans who bring their best works to be able to exhibit them and sell them at the most important Peruvian art fair.
Seven hours to the south of Lima we’ll find a city embedded in the Nazca desert, an enigmatic place that is home of wonderful buildings of a town that knew how to make this place their home despite the weather.
You can get to this place in two different ways: By plane from Lima, on a trip that will take you around half an hour and by bus from Lima city crossing beautiful places with breathtaking landscapes.
The city of Cusco offers you plenty of tourist attractions of which 14 have been cataloged as the most important and interesting to visit on your way through this city. These attractions are made up of archaeological centers and museums in and around the city that have been included within a single ticket called “Boletos turístico de Cusco” with which we can enter these places. This ticket is administered by COSITUC (an entity made up of the Municipality of Cusco, the Cusco Culture Directorate and the Cusco Tourism and Foreign Trade Directorate), which collects, administers and distributes all the resources generated by the sale of the ticket.
