Paragliding Over the Green Seaside Cliffs of Lima

For those thrill seekers out there, Pirwa Travel offers a novel way to admire the Malecón Verde, the green seaside cliffs of Lima: paragliding in Miraflores!

You don’t need any prior experience to take a flight, as most travelers opt for tandem flights with an experienced instructor who is licensed by the municipality and has at least several years experience. This way, no class is necessary, meaning that you only need an hour free to squeeze this excursion into your Lima itinerary. 

The paraport (launch site) is located in Raimondi Park, close by the city’s famous Love Park; it was planned and built by the instructors themselves. With assistance, you’ll find suiting up easy and over with in a matter of minutes. Flights soar out over the Pacific Ocean, with the instructors taking advantage of the ocean breezes to gain altitude and enjoy a more dynamic flight. Wind permitting, most flights then continue over the Costa Verde, taking in the sights from its parks and lighthouses, the Rosa Nautica, Larcomar mall, and even nearing the high-rise buildings of modern Miraflores.

Overall, the ride is intense and allows for some stunning photos! Flights also include a free video, shot with a selfie stick that attaches the camera to the equipment.
